Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette was an American voice actor, actress and film star born January 31 1937, and died on January 19, 2008. Pleshette began her theatre career and was featured in films in the late 1950s. In later years, she was an actor of note in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). She also appeared in numerous TV productions, mostly as a guest actor, and was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 in 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish as were the children of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
